STETSBAR TREMOLO
I have been using my Stetsbar for over 3yrs now without any
issue at all.
The tremolo stays totally in tune and has plenty of dive action plus pull up capability.
My stesbar is an after market stratocaster model that can be easily bolted straight onto my fender guitar with no modification at all necessary for it to fit .
What was wrong with the old tremolo on my stratocaster ?
I wasn’t very happy with my stratocaster tremolo. I am used to floating tremolos much like Khalar and floyd roses and n my playing I like to pullup notes from the open strings and harmonics.
The stratocaster tremolo couldn’t do this very well at all but the stetsbar is absolutely great for it.
The upward motion can be adjusted by an allen key limit the pitch you can reach when pulling back on the trem. I have mine set to a maj 3rd or 1½ frets upwards pitch. This is a great function as it is accurate every time you pull back fully.
Stratocaster tremolos can be good if they are much newer and not vintage ones. The newer 2-point system are great for upward pitch especially the guitar body has cavity To swap for this, or any other type, needs extensive and expensive work altering the guitar body and is not an easy job unlike fitting the stetsbar
If I can do it anyone can. I usually make a mess with DIY but this was a breeze. This tremolo can be put on by anyone with a screwdriver and is easier than shelves any day.
Tremolo were there is none .
I can only vouch personally for the stratocaster style tremolo as it’s the one I own but I know stetsbar make tremolo’s that can bolt straight onto Les Paul type guitars and many other models with hard tails.
These tremolo-less guitars can be easily transformed with a stetsbar into a fully tremolo guitar with ease and with no modification and no loss of guitar value.
The tone of my stratocaster changed only very slightly acoustically but through an amp it sounds exactly like a stratocaster should and I can’t tell the difference now.
I would definitely buy another one if I needed too and recommend this tremolo system
