Michael Dolce "Everything Till now"
Album review 5 out of 5 top class album
Michael Dolce - Everything Til Now
This is a review of Australian master class guitarist Michael Dolce's album Everything till now ,
Track 1 I Gotta Go- Great carltonesque melodic intro into a Cd stacked up with a bundle of character , Michaels use of hybrid and country style chops mixed with an
all pure tone makes this a great all round album, track 1 is a winner and will entice any guitar music lover into the rest of this masterpiece , I dont review rubish .
Track 2 Frankie Boy- Pulls things up a gear or two to put it mildly, this rawnchyl steamin mix of country jazz and good old rock and roll, makes this track a real foot stomper
Also this really shows off the tallented fingers of albert lee I mean Michael Dolce 10/10
Track 3 Fresh Start- This track has a completely mellow backwater swamp vibe , reminding me of my favorate acoustic and melodic blues guitarist Phill Keaggy , great vibey track with all the emotion
we have grown to expect from Australian guitarist like Bret Garsed who's been a great influence on Michael
Track 4 Cronies- And Michael surprises me again with a fusion vibe and this track has the rhythmic scratchy off beat vibe , them moves into a very jazzy mellow trip,
this track has a chick Corea Carlton vibe , with a hint of another Australian virtuoso Mr Gambale , another influence on Michael .
Track 5 Isabella- This acoustic lullaby song is at a guess a tribute to a daughter judging by the baby voice samples at the start and has that loving touch . Very moving heartfelt song.
Track 6 If It Wasn't For You-The mellow vibe carries on and I could fall asleep , not out of boredom , out of sheer relaxation and floating musical melodic mastery . Well done on this song , got some deapth to your music.
Track 7- Mr Negative- Nothing negative about this song , its a happy and moody, this fusion track has all the frills , and theres horns keys and riffs galore, fusion at its best, very Holdsworth esq at the end and thats gotta be a compliment, is it a synth or a horn hmmm .
Track 8-Why Not- Oh the funk oh the bluesy vibe , this is a classic blues fusion track , a little outside and very cool ,nice tones and great slick licks , the different sections and buildups make it exiting and the hammond organ and sax blows it and takes the song out there ,
I love this track really swings and the funky fusion swing solo also rocks .
Track 9 Always In My Heart- Last track and by no means least , its almost a farewell and has a moody Lydian vibe mixed in with a great acoustic doubled guitar and oh so very nice orchestration , warm strings and fretless bass makesnthe track just so epic .
SUMMERY
This album has more to offer than you'd expect if you didn't know Michael's reputation for good music. It satisfies the listener in orchestration , instrumental resource , tones and variance , cool guitar chops , compositional expertise , evoking emotion and feeling to the listener and hearing the emotions coming from the guitarist plus variety .
I would buy this and I have it in my top section of my collection. I have been listening to it since it dropped in my door two days ago and I have no problem in recommending it to anyone who likes to hear both guitar excellence and wants to be moved by the whole vibe and movement of the songs.
This is an instrumental album and it will make the hairs on the back of your neck stick up on end, what more could you want than a music buzz? and you will get one with this album .

MICHAEL SAY'S
Ever since I was a wee little boy I was heavily influenced by my dad strumming and singing italian folk songs and the odd country song or two! At that time I was also drawn to the music of "The Shadows" . These days I love listening to the likes of Scott Henderson, Brett Garsed and Robben Ford etc.. Away from playing guitar, I keep myself busy writing and producing songs for myself and various artists.
Some artists which I have performed with include; ROACHFORD, DELTA GOODREM, BRIAN MACFADDEN, NATALIE BASSINGTHWAIGHTE, RAHSAAN PATTERSON, THE YOUNG DIVAS, RICKI LEE, JESSICA MAUBOY, DEAN GEYER CASEY DONOVAN, ANTHONY CALLEA, AMIEL DENI HINES, S2S (SISTER TO SISTER) , MICA PARIS (UK Diva), JADE MACRAE,
